Every time you put yourself under conditions you don’t deal with everyday, you always need to do your research. For example, when you camp, you need to know the kind of weather you can expect or any health alerts that may have been issued by health authorities in the area. Make sure you’re conscious of any virus-carrying insects whose presence has been distinguished. You can’t entirely stay away from snakes when you’re in the wild and while not all of them are dangerous, locate where there are mainly venomous and deadly varieties such as The Timber Rattlesnake in Arkansas or the Osage Copperhead in Missouri. You have to be conscious that leftover food and trash can draw attention through their sense of smell because bears and other wild animals will be nearby. Another lifesaving tip may tell you to avoid touching brush piles or harassing those areas in between rocks where snakes could be hiding. These reptiles are submissive by nature and they would always rather not attack unless triggered. As long as you keep them holed in and undisturbed, snakes will leave you alone.
